Connecting young women with learning opportunities in steel 

Steel Chicks creates pathways into the steel and construction industries through work experience, apprenticeship and internship programs, connecting young women with real opportunities and supportive employers across our national network.

Work Experience

Our structured work experience program gives young women in Years 10, 11 and 12 the opportunity to explore careers in steel and construction through hands-on workplace placements with supportive employers across the Steel Chicks network.

Apprenticeships

Steel Chicks supports women pursuing apprenticeships in the steel industry, providing resources and support to foster confidence, improve workplace integration, and build sustainable trade careers.
