Steel Chicks’ workplace skills training programs are designed to strengthen women’s confidence, communication, and leadership capability across the steel industry. Developed for women working in trade, technical, and professional roles, these sessions support long-term career progression while helping to build stronger, more effective workplaces.
Communication
Build the communication skills needed to work confidently and effectively with others. The Communication Program covers active listening, body language, feedback, professional conversations, workplace communication, conflict resolution and practical strategies for navigating difficult conversations.
Leadership
Develop the confidence and practical skills to lead effectively in today's workplace. The Leadership Program explores mindset, presence and influence, decision-making under pressure, negotiation, professional relationships and the skills needed to navigate challenging leadership situations.
Diversity & Inclusion
Build the knowledge and practical skills to contribute to more inclusive workplaces. The Diversity and Inclusion Program explores bias and assumptions, inclusive communication, workplace practices, women in male-dominated industries, and how to recognise exclusion and create meaningful workplace change.
