NORTH Link x SEMMA: Women in Manufacturing

Steel Chicks was proud to take part in last Thursday’s SEMMA x NORTH Link Women in Manufacturing event at The Deck, Box Hill RSL. With more than 70 attendees, the evening brought together women from across the sector for connection, insight, and genuine momentum.

Our founder, Maria Mavrikos, spoke alongside two standout contributors to the industry: Jo Hocking of Copamate—fresh from being named the 2025 Victorian Woman Manufacturer of the Year—and Sean Teer from Workforce Australia, who shared valuable updates on employment pathways and the Real Jobs, Real Wages pilot program.

The night was filled with engaging conversation, industry perspectives, and a clear commitment to supporting women in manufacturing.
